what is the difference between a workout and an exercise?

I thought both were the same until i came across a website which gave me two options :
1. Custom workout
2. Custom Exercise.

I’d bet that they’re using the terms to mean that individual activities are the components of a workout, so you can pick one specific thing (say crunches OR pull ups) and choose exercise, or a set of them (which would tell you do do crunches AND pull ups AND lunges and…) and choose workout.

Whats a really affective leg routine exercise i can do at home?

I want to do exercise at home this winter and get rid of my belly fat. I am working on loosing weight right now, so I will be ready for a good work out come September. I would prefer Christian videos or Tae-bo. I am not into yoga or other religious stuff.

Whichever workout you STICK with. They all work. If they fail, it’s only because the person doing it decided to stop.

where can i go to buy cheap home gyms? like the ones you see on tv that like hang on your door.?

Home gym will never get you in shape. I work out so much harder at my gym because between sets I’ll glance over and some young bombshell is jogging on the treadmill. Or once in a while theres a muscle girl or an older guy lifting and I look at their lifts and I’m like dang I need to up my game. The biggest part of getting over going to the gym is realizing there will always be people bigger and in better shape than you, and people more out of shape than you there. So you also can’t gauge your body by the strongest or best looking person. You have to set realistic goals for yourself.

Honestly I didn’t fall for those gimmicks. Yea, they work, but so does anything that actually gets your heart beat going. I suggest running everyday with a mild core exercise.. Run a mile > do sit ups and crap > walk/run more.

It worked for me suprisingly fast.

I googled it but i really dont know what to look for, so could someone give me a few sites, or even something thta is customizable, and specific… Thanks (im trying to start my new years resolution)

you should check out sparkteens.com it’s great it helps you plan and organize each week for you to help to get to your goal -of how much weight you want to loose. And there are lots of videos on that site to and trust me the really do work but like the organized scuedule on the site will say that you need to do it more than like to burn the number of calories each week to get to your goal. there is even a progress report that will show you how much weight you loosing from week to week it’s a pretty good site cause there not just workout stuff there stuff about healthy foods and there stuff about water like how much you should be drinking stuff like that cause all that is important if you want to loose weight. But you might want to check out toneteen.com there stuff about like if you eat say a big slice of cake then it will take u blank amount of time to work it off, and there also certain excersises for different parts of your body : ) but if your not a teen maybe checkout sparkpeople.com i’ve never tried it but u might want to if your not a teen it will probably be similar to sparkteens.com
p.s i use to be 145 pounds now im 115 pounds and i am 5"7 so the site(sparkteens.com) helped a lot hope it help you : )

I broke my ankle a week ago and I will be in a cast for up to 8 weeks. I would still like to try and exercise. What kind routine can I do? the bike, rowing machine? I was on such a good running routine,losing some weight and that is quickly going in the other direction.

Loosing those flab abs

I don’t think exercise can help you? even abs exercise has nothing to do with that, because thats fat already unless you undergo surgery. Abs exercise can turn your abs fats in to muscles and it will be hard for you to move quick. My advice for you is to balance the shape of your body, to make the flab abs not so visible , why not gain more pounds to even the abs to other parts of your body? especially if you will look better by gaining weight.. For me almost all people look better when they’re a little chubby than a thin one. That’s what i can advice you. My mum went to a gym she’s thin but has flob ab, but exercise didnt work. Instead she tried to gain more weight to have a nice figure but at the same time she’s still exercise to maintain her good health. Also after meal dont drink cold water/juice right after you eat, that makes your abs bigger, just drink a lukewarm water. And dont sit right after your meal, just stand for an hour i think. Is it a bad idea to do 30 minutes of cardio exercise twice a day?

I’m a 31 year old male, 5′10 and weigh almost 200 pounds. I am trying to lose weight and have started doing around 30 minutes a day of running in place along with some other cardio exercises. Is it going to put too much strain on my heart if I start doing it twice a day?

No its great as long as you are in good health! You might want to add some variety to your workouts by adding strength training.
