What is a good basic workout/exercise routine?

I’m 17 and just wondering what a good 30 minute basic exercise routine would be. (Specifics) I mean a good amount of specific exercises (for instance, like 50 jumping jacks, pushups, etc). A better way to restate my question would be to name some exercises and how much of them I should do daily.

30 minutes is not that long but its a start, for such a short amount of time I recommend running up hills Monday, take a brake the Tuesday, biking Wednesday brake Thursday running Friday and so on and so on, thats my old routine.

Girls, have you ever outlifted a guy on a leg exercise?

I’m not a girl and I’ve seen this happen! Most guys end up focusing on the upper body to pump up their manliness. As for myself, I do both to get a good all-around body.

I am 5′ 10" and wiegh 165lbs so I am not fat at all but my but is a little big. Girls seems to like it a lot but more in the sense that they wish there butt looked like it. Not cool. Anyways, how can I make it smaller?

just do some total-body exercises. That’ll burn fat everywhree and tone your muscles.

No one really answered my last question, so i wanna know,

What home gym do you have? Do you have a bowflex and which one. Be specific please!!
Was it worth it and does it take up alot of space? Do you think of any better models/types??

Just tell me anything you know about Bowflex and home gyms, personal experience would help me…

I got a Blowflex Sport for $700 flat off of Amazon with no tax and free shipping over 6 months ago. It has a total of 210 lbs with all rods combined. Can be upgrade with 2 more 50 lbs rods.

It takes up a moderate amount of space. It is about the length of a twin bed and the height of a door.

Yes, it was worth it. My muscles really hurt the first time, but after that it felt great and got bulkier. I workout for about an hour with the bowflex and another hour for cardio. I do it 3-4 times a week and consume 1g of protein per lb of weight. Make sure to work out the muscle every other day.

I got one of the cheapest bowflex but it was all i needed. There are some $2000+. You can check it out at the bowflex official site.

Can anyone suggest a website with workout routine for a multi-station home gym with pictures?

Any Ideas for Good Exercise Programs or Sites?

I recently saw my nuerologist and he suggested to help my back pain I try to get myself into pilates or yoga to help strengthen and improve the health of my back. It sounds like a good idea but I totally suck at following exercise programs. Anyone have any good ideas of programs that are quick but very helpful…things I won’t "get bored of"?
By the way my pain is across my mid back any ideas on things to do to try to relieve the pain would be greatly appreciated.

Physical Theraphy is a great idea but as I discussed with my Dr. even with my insurance it would be way to costly for me as a single mom.

I think you should go through several weeks of physical therapy first…that way you are doing things correctly under the supervision of the PT to make sure you do not make things worse with improper form. Ask your doc about physical therapy.

How can I lose lots of weight without cardio exercise, fast?

I want to lose weight fast, I think i have a norm metabolism. I can’t do cardio, doctors orders. I need to lose about 10 lbs really fast, like 1 or 2 months. Tell me really quickly. I need this so I can get a modeling job. Plez only help, don’t discourage me. I need this, help now, plz, any good help appreciated. I’ll take diet info, exercise infor, or any other info about that. Thank you all a lot!

Is all about the DIET. you have to eat about 1,000cal a day. u have to eat high protein and low carbs. You have to eat lot of veggies and fruits. You,also, have to eat every 3 hrs or six small meals a day. FYI: you can lose weight by sleeping more than 8 hours.
