Kristen Maloney – The Most Difficult Floor Exercise Routine at the 2000 Sydney Olympics

Kristen Maloney of Parkettes performs the most difficult floor routine at the 2000 Sydney Olympics during women’s gymnastics prelims. In today’s code, these tumbling passes would be a G (full twisting double layout), A+F (whip immediate double layout) and A to E (front through to triple twist). She was also doing this difficult routine with a stress fracture, a rod in her leg and a sprained ankle. She had also lost a lot of weight, making it even more amazing that she had the power to tumble like this when she was really thin. A step out of bounds cost her a spot in event finals but her score from team finals would have earned her a medal in floor finals. Also, not only was this the most difficult routine done in 2000, it is also one of the most difficult floor routines of all time. Only Daiane Dos Santos has done a more difficult routine. Her routine in Beijing had 2 G skills (Dos Santos 2, full twisting double layout) and an F (double layout). Shawn Johnson and Cheng Fei have also come close with their 2008 Olympics routines with a G (double double) an A+E (whip-triple) and an E (full-in).

What are some good at home workouts for fat burning?

I don’t have access to any equipment and I live no where near a gym. I have been trying to lose weight for a while. I was diagnosed with endometriosis so i already have to be on a diet and i make sure i get the right amount of everything in. If anyone knows of some quick at home workouts that would be wondreful!

Walk/jog for 30-45 minutes at a good enough pace to keep your heart rate up, but that isn’t so fast that you wear out long before you make the 30-45 minute mark. Do this on Mon, Wed, and Fri.

On Tues and Thursday, do HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training). Go out, and walk/jog for 5 minutes to warm up. Sprint as fast as you possibly can for 30 seconds. Walk/jog for 1 minute. Repeat this sprint/walk sequence 10 times. Finish with a 5 minute walk/jog to cool down. After a few weeks of this, decrease the rest time to 30 seconds. Then, after a week or to, increase the number of intervals you do until you get up to 15-20.

Interval training is not about how far you go, or how fast you go. It’s all about effort. During your sprints, you should be sprinting almost as fast as you can possibly run. An easy way to judge is this. If your 10th sprint covers as much ground as your 1st sprint, you aren’t running fast enough. My last interval is barely more than a fast walk.

How I Ended My Lower Back Pain – Part 3: Pilates Reformer

Many of the stretches I used to do on the floor, I now do on a Pilates Reformer. I bought a Stamina 4500 for $250 on Amazon.com. It’s a great machine. It makes these stretching exercises fun, and more effective. In this video I demonstrate some of the exercises I do specifically to eliminate lower back pain. I use this machine for other exercises as well, but the ones I demo on this video are the most important for my low back. The 10 videos in this series will give you a complete overview of how, in 6 months, I eliminated the intense back pain that I lived with for 8 years. I purchased several inexpensive pieces of equipment, such as this Pilates Reformer, to make my exercise routine fun and effective, but they aren’t necessary. What is necessary is your commitment to a daily exercise routine.
