I want to lose weight.

Not build muscle. I’m a girl. That would be weird..
So are cardio exercises the exercise that helps you lose weight?

cardio helps you burn fat…but if you build muscle ull look slimmer because muscle weighs more than fat….and u wont get bulky u dont have the testosterone to get that bulky…alot of girls strength train so dont be afraid to do it

In this video I take you through an excellent 10-minute aerobic cardio workout that you can do right in your own home any time it is convenient. I recommend you do this every day if you are trying to lose weight or even just to reduce stress. Doing regular aerobic exercise is so important for a healthy heart, and overall fitness of your body. It helps to build endurance for all sports. Cardiovascular exercise is any type of exercise that increases the work of the heart and lungs which is what you will do in this video. My routine is comprised of 7 different energizing cardio exercises that will get your heart pumping and you burning calories. I do the exercises right along with you so you can see proper form with your arms, legs and feet, and stay motivated. I will go through the seven exercises twice for a total of 10 minutes. Want more cardio workout exercise; simply replay the tape and you will now have a 20 minute workout. Replay it again and you have a 30 minute workout! That’s quite a challenge!!! How can I get a good cardio exercise in the winter?

I can’t run outside because it’s too cold and I want to work on my cardio so I can lose weight. What other exercises can I do that’s cardio?

Do some circuit training on the floor. 1 minute of pushups, 1 minute of squats, 1 minute of sit ups, 1 minute of lunges…so on and so forth. You might be surprised about how hard an exercise gets after 1 minute.

Try to go for 20 minutes total.

What is the best exercise for fat loss: weight training exercise or cardiovascular exercise?

For fat loss, weight training exercise burns more body fat than cardiovascular exercise.

Weight training exercise gives you a metabolic boost for 24-48 hours. The reason for that is because when you perform weight training exercise a lot of damage happens to the muscle fibers, and thus, the body has to spend energy repairing the muscle and making it stronger than before.

Traditional cardiovascular exercise, on the other hand, only burns calories throughout the duration of the exercise. Once the activity is done, your metabolism goes back to normal.

Because of this, weight training is a better exercise for fat loss since your metabolism is stimulated for much longer. Also, keep in mind that cardiovascular exercise cannot re-shape your body in the way that weight training does. If you are looking to have a tight and fit toned body, weight training is what you need to emphasize.

With that said, keep in mind that fat loss is really a function of your diet as well, so if you are not following a diet that puts you in a slightly lower caloric deficit, you won’t be able to lose any body fat. But from the perspective of exercise, weight training beats cardio any time.

Conclusion

Because with weight training exercise you can:

1) Increase your metabolism for 24-48 hours.
2) Re-shape your physique.

Weight training exercise needs to be emphasized over cardiovascular exercise in order to burn fat.
