What are some leg exercises/any exercise to help me kickover on my back kickover?

Friday, May 18th, 2012

I can do the back bend but no the kick over. I don’t think i am strong enough to kick over so what are some strengthening exercises to help me?

try stretching your wrist, back, legs, and ankles. stretch your back by doing a bridge. stretch legs by splits or any other leg stretching. you can practice with a spotter first and must be comfortable doing a handstand!face a wall or anything you can put your legs on. then do your backbend. hold and try lifting your most strongest and most comfortable leg to kick on the wall.lift your other leg while keeping your dominant leg on the wall but don’t rest it. next push off the wall with your dominant leg and land the with that leg on the ground first then followed by the other.

If I jog in a circle, which leg is going to get more exercise? The leg on the inside or the outside?

Friday, January 27th, 2012

I jog around my block, kind of slanted in since it’s a circle and I switch sides so my legs don’t go uneven.. But I think my left leg is smaller than my right.. I don’t know if it’s muscle or fat. :/ help?

Unless it’s an actual circle with a much smaller radius, the workout will basically be the same, with a difference so minute that it won’t be noticeable.

What are some good ABS and Leg exercise i can do that will start showing a difference in a week?

Sunday, January 22nd, 2012

Trying to lose baby weight and those are the two spots I want too work on. Anybone know some of the best abs and leg workouts?. I do have asthma. So cant do hard core jogging.. tried walking. But it rains and it is cold here a lot and don’t want to take my 1 year old out and she gets sick. So need exercises to do at home.

Cardio is important, so maybe start up by walking with 5 pound weights. Planks are proven to work better than crunches, and try jumping lunges and dynamic squats for the legs. I love the workouts on bodyrock.tv. Great for moms, no equipment needed, 4-20 minutes a day. I have gone down 2 pants sizes. Good luck!

Exercise good for developing the leg muscles?

Sunday, January 15th, 2012

I am really don’t like my thick legs. What kind of exercise is good for developing the leg muscles? I am going to travel to Phuket this April and I want to look perfect.

1. Go for a long walk. The best way to begin building leg muscle is to walk briskly for more than 30 minutes every day. Keep a quick, steady pace. Incorporate walking into your day–for example, try walking around your neighborhood after dinner or early in the morning. Leave the car at home if you need milk at the convenience store.

2. Start running or playing soccer. Both long-distance running and soccer matches are great for building leg muscle. You run anywhere between 6 and 13 miles during a soccer game, which is a great workout for the legs. The same is true of running. Run for longer than 30 minutes for the best results.

3. Take a cycling or spin class. Stationary bicycles will make you feel the burn in your legs. A vigorous hour-long routine several times a week (preferably with an instructor) will work your quads, calves and hamstrings. As an added bonus, cycling makes your gluts (butt muscles) stronger, too.

4. Find time to do standing calf raises. This exercise can be done anywhere. Find a step or uneven surface, or use a stepping block at the gym. Stand on the higher surface with just your tiptoes and balls of your feet touching the bottom; the rest of your feet should be hanging off. Use a wall for balance. Move the balls of your feet up and down in a steady motion.

5. Curl and extend. The leg curl machine and leg extension machine at the gym are both necessary for building well-rounded leg muscle. The curls work your calves, while the extensions are good for your quads.

6. Lunge. Lunges work every leg muscle when done properly. This is a difficult exercise to do correctly, so ask for help at a gym or search for proper visual demonstrations online. Always keep your knee at a 90-degree angle in a lunge. There is a serious risk of knee injury if you push your knee beyond your toes.

what type of exercise equipment to use when you have a damaged hip/leg and post surgical rotator cuff?

Wednesday, November 16th, 2011

i need to do 40 minutes of exercise per day and have very little space. i need to purchase some sort of in home exercise equipment that won’t aggravate my hip and leg.

I don’t know, but you should ask the doctor who did the operation. He/she might send you for some physical therapy. That’s what they did for me when I had a knee replacement. That way you can see what kind of equipment they use and talk to them about what would be good for you to get at home.

What is the best exercise for leg circulation?

Friday, May 20th, 2011

I am interested in exercise videos and long workout that increase leg circulation (I have bad circulation there, often pain from it) — so I am wondering, what are some good ones? Especially DVDs that I can do at home that prove effective.

Thanks so much!

I found an answer here; although, I thought, raising the legs on pillows would help. But there are actual exercises. You can find in search engine on UTube, you can ask the doctor as well, and might need PT. Probably, moving, like walking. the reference is below

If you have a leg cramp come upon you all of a sudden during exercise is it better to keep exercising?

Tuesday, May 17th, 2011

Is it better to keep exercising and try to work the cramp out, or is it better to stop? Because I have a cramp that I got in my leg from running yesterday and it is still there. I have applied heat, massage, everything. I still want to exercise this morning because I don’t want to get lazy because my leg hurts and then become complacent. So isn’t it better to just do everything normally and let it work itself out?

Cramps are usually caused by dehydration, and or lose of electrolytes, like salt, sugar, calcium. Drinking Gatorade or something with salt and sugar. is needed, but slowly. And walking for 20min. then stretching. It should get you back on track.
