If I do too much leg exercise, will it damage my figure?

My mother says if I exercise too much I’ll look ugly because of the muscles. Is it true?

Not unless you are working out at the gym for several hours a day, every day doing 75 pound leg presses or something. Also female bodies are different than male bodies. Females doing have that level of testosterone therefore muscles do not develop the same way. Your legs will get toned and they may become more muscular than other girls but not to the extent that it looks like a guy’s legs.

    No. There are exercises designed for bulking, and exercises designed for keeping a toned look.

    You’ll learn to tell the difference. In general, choose exercises that require several quick repetitions, rather than ones that require a few spurts of maximal effort.
