I’m often asked how can you get a good muscle building workout at home. Well in this video clip I’m going to show you some of the basic exercise stuff that I have in my basement and some good basic home workouts that you can do in place of, or in addition to, your regular gym workouts.

All of the stuff that I have here can be bought for a few hundred bucks max and maybe even cheaper if you shop around at flea markets and garage sales for some basic home gym equipment.

Does being sore after a workout mean the exercise is working?

i did an abbs, thuns, & buns workout tape and im really sore today [the day after]
;does this mean the exercise is burning my fat? or im doin something wrong?

When you workout your muscles tissue tears. Sounds bad? Not necessarily, when they rebuild themselves they get bigger. Make sure you take protein as this can help your muscles get bigger. Also when you work out lactic acid forms Don’t worry this isn’t bad either its just the process of fermentation going on in your body. Just make sure you get a full 24 hours rest before working out those areas again.

I have a pain in my left leg that comes when i walk, it comes from my buttock through the left leg, i exercise?

i exercise everyday but the pain just come when walking or running outdoor, it doesn’t bother me when i do the eliptical or bridges. Do you think a nerve is pinching? or something else, I am adidcted to the exercises and i cannot walk fast anymore.

When you walk do you walk on your heels? If you do you could have an issue with you Sciatic nerve.

If this is the problem you may have what is called Sciatica. Below are a few ways to treat it. If it seems to work go see your doctor because there are other treatments out there for it.

How is it treated?

In many cases, sciatica will improve and go away with time. Initial treatment usually focuses on medicines and exercises to relieve pain. You can help relieve pain by:

* Avoiding sitting (unless it is more comfortable than standing).
* Alternating lying down with short walks. Increase your walking distance as you are able to without pain.
* Taking acetaminophen (Tylenol) or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as ibuprofen (Advil) or naproxen (Aleve).
Using a heating pad on a low or medium setting, or a warm shower, for 15 to 20 minutes every 2 to 3 hours. You can also try an ice pack for 10 to 15 minutes every 2 to 3 hours. There is not strong evidence that either heat or ice will help, but you can try them to see if they help you.

Is it better to join a gym or set up some gear at home?

Ive been latley thinking about joining a gym, which could end up costing around $50-$60 a month but have a near empty garage at home, and have seen some cheap second hand weight benches and home gyms. any ideas on which is worth it more?? i cant decide.

I personally do better at a gym. If I set up things at home I just look at them a think that I’ll get to them letter. With a gym membership, I have somewhere to be. It’s a part of the routine. You see people you know. Plus, your paying for it monthly so that is motivation in itself. I am also more motivated if I belong to a really nice gym. It’s more inviting and makes you ant to go there more.
