Male 23, what is the best way to loose weight? Workout or exercise?
I am trying to loose some weight before the beach. I tried the "nothing but water" but it didnt really work. I felt great without ANY type of softdrink, juice or anything. But I didnt loose any weight, and I felt bloated sometimes. I eat semi healthy, sure I slip every now and then, but not a lot. So should I lift weights or excerise…I personally think excerise, but if so then What is the best exercise to loose weight?
They’re sort of the same thing, but I think what you’re asking is whether aerobic exercise (running, etc.) or strength training is better for weight loss. The answer is that you need to do both. Aerobic exercise burns calories, and strength training builds muscle and increases the base metabolism over the long term. You can do them on alternate days if you want. Others may disagree, but aerobic exercise is the core of my program and If I did have to choose, I would probably stick with that. I’m not saying I’m right, but that’s just what seems to work for me. But if there is any way you can fit in both, do it.

both!..you should be doing at least 30 min of cardio and then strength training is seperate. Losing weight comes down to cardio and building muscle is about lifting weights.

The best way to lose weight is neither, just cut off your legs and your alot lighter.
No really, I would suggest dieting, you can lose about 250 calories jogging at a steady pace for 2 hours, but if you diet you can lose 500 calories from basically doing nothing but switching from burgers to vegetables. Excercise is only an add-on.
Also don’t forget, Diet is about eating the same quantity of food but of better quality e.g. eating vegetables instead of burgers.
The people who eat less to lose weight often find themselves gaining weight because there body thinks there less food around and so go’s into starvation mode where it stores as much fat as possible.
But really if you had to choose between excercises and working out, then it’d be by far excercising in the morning.

give up all soft drinks, and fast-food, and snacks. take in 1500 calories a day, then RUN for 1 hour a day, or build up until you can do that. running will improve your lung/heart function
